Apprentice licenses are good for two years, if issued in an even year. If issued in an odd year, it is only good for one year. For example, licenses issued in 2022 and 2023 will both expire in 2024.
When it is time to renew, the state will email an apprentice license renewal form. Renewal notices are sent approximately ninety (90) days prior to the expiration date. License holders with valid email addresses on file will be emailed the renewal notice. Those who do not have valid email addresses on file will be mailed the renewal notice; this notice is mailed to the address of record with the Commission.
Online renewal is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for most license renewals. Online renewal takes only minutes, and renewals will be processed and available for verification the next business day. https://www.in.gov/pla/professions/plumbing-home/plumbing-licensing-information/#2RI To renew licenses by paper, print and mail the completed form with the required renewal fee to the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
